Originally called, Daraji, the island was renamed after a camel due to its similar outlook with camel. It is perhaps the island of what we call ‘the perfect scenery’. It is an uninhabited island with one third of the area cut through with a tunnel. On the top of the island, evergreen broadleaf tree are grown to provide fresh greens for all four seasons. At the camel island floating on the sea, sunset is spectacular and serves as the nests for the birds. The island has no routine route. It can only be visited via a sightseeing vessel or watched the Saemaeul Ship (061-552-0116) which is operational once a day on the way to Jangdo or Wondo.
